【Interview】XingGuang 3 Shao EP release one after another ; "We will not compete among ourself"

XingGuang 3 Shao; Peter Pan, Judy Zhou and Stanly Hsu EP release one after another like a relay race. The first who release is Peter with his EP《Summer Rain Poetry》, followed by Judy's 《So What》and last one is Stanly's 《Dream On》. After a year of training, learning and growth, each of them present themself with different style. Each of the EP are release one after another as the three buddies does not want their singles used to compare or to PK among themself. With this each of them have the opportunity to present themself and in addition they can accompany each other during their album promotion. Three of them agree that although they have their own individual EP but they will not compete among themself.

⊙ Accumulate more stage experience
Already 1 year since the release of XingGuang 2nd Compilation. After one of the member in XingGuang 4 Shao ; Yoga Lin release his album, now the rest of them finally release their own EP. Judy express that although their EP are release separately , but they are helping each other out and can promote their album together. He wish that people will notice their growth. For Stanly the stage experience gain in this year has helps in the way of expressing his song more mature. Peter modesty that, though it is an EP but he is not unhappy. Peter: "Because with my current experience and ability, I might not able to take it if its an album."

⊙ Along the way a lot of pressure to bear
From an ordinary people until become a singer, 3 of them express that along the way, they face alot of pressure. When the first concert of XingGuang Bang ended,Peter called his mother at wee hours in the morning and cried. He feel pressured because he is burdened with excessive concern from others and his performance is not up to par. Stanly's pressure came from himself and his family problems, this makes him feel that the world is not fair. Got once he even cried when he was on the way back to Kaohsiung. For Judy, when he feel pressured he will choose to play fighting type of video games or call his sister. His sister will usually stand at his point of view and give him encouragement.

⊙ If sales break 100000, they willing to "expose their flash"
In order to promote their debut EP, Peter, Judy and Stanly, they gather together again to syncytial publicity. 3 of them revealed that before the EP was released, they were busy build up themself. Like Stanly, he has build up hand muscle, Judy's chest shape became obvious and Peter has build up six packs. But 3 of them does not dare to show off their bodies but due to request from the media and the slump in the recording market. They finally give in and say that if the total sales of their EP break 120000, Peter will show off his six packs, Stanly will show off his hand and back muscle while Judy will show off his chest. To increases sales, the trio add on and says that if each of their EP break 100000, Peter will organise a party near the swimming pool and he will wear swimming trunks (triangle). Judy will wear a tight ballet pants and dance KUSO while Stanly will wear tight shirt and do fitness training at their autograph session for their his fans. He say that it is just a target and it is also a way to repay his fans. Judy laugh say: " Recently, we have been very hardworking exercising, to avoid fats coming out."

⊙ Compete within ownself
Recently few of the contestant from 《One Million Star》have release their own album. This include Season 2; Y2J and Queen Wei and Season 3; JingLun Wang. Does XingGuang 3 Shao have pressure? Peter: "Today must perform better then yesterday, releasing of EP is to compete within ownself." Judy: "The recording economic is bad, having to release an EP is already an opportunity thus cannot mind about pressure." Stanly: "At first when I join the competition I just want to be a singer, after releasing album I know that I will dream for more, thus I will take make good use of each opportunity."

Judy wants to be a talented type of idol singer [I not sure how to translate "實力派偶像歌手"]

Since the starting of 《One Million Star》Season 1, Judy is made known by his dancing ability and even have the nick name of "Zhou Ding Rain (周定Rain)." Since young he likes to sing and dance around and does not realise his talent in this area until he saw ShinWa's (a Korean group)MV. Only then he starts to put his effort in dancing and singing. ShinWa is his target and he wanted to be as successful like them to be talented type of idol singer.

■ Set ShinWa as target
Since young, Judy only know that he like to sing and dance around but does not know that he got talent in this area. Only when he grown up and watch back those video which was taken when he was young only he know that he like to dance around. Judy: "It was when I'm in Form 2 going Form 3 I know ShinWa (through their MV). Through them those hidden talent is like given a wake up call. I even learn a dance where I coincidentally recorded down. After this, I start to study about singing and dancing, and slowly i realise that i got talent in this area." From that day onwards, a shy little boy has set ShinWa as target and wanted to be as successful like them.

■ 《One Million Star》makes his dream as a singer come true
《One Million Star》makes Judy's dream come true. Judy: "Able to achieve his dream, becoming a singer, really is like a sweet dream coming true. I feel very lucky and very appreciate that my recording company sign me up and gives me the opportunity to achieve my dream."
Starting to receive people's attention, listening to his songs, know who is Judy Zhou, understand him causes him tension and pressure. But this makes him wanted to do better and able to release his charm on stage.
As a singer, the most important thing is having your own song and for Judy, when he first get his first own song 《我不會唱歌》(I dunno how to sing) his feeling is hard to express. Judy: "That day was my 20th birthday. It was the best present I have received."

■ Set "New Generation Dance King" as target
Dance King of XingGuang Bang; Judy's first debut EP 《So What》has set the target as "New Generation Dance King" and covers both singing and dancing. This EP consist genre of different kind; includes R&B, Chinese style, hip-hop, rock and western slow song. At the same time, Judy also try to write his own lyrics. The small part of RAP in his first hit 《寂寞包廂》(Lonely Room) was written by him. Judy was known for his dancing skills and his first hit《寂寞包廂》(Lonely Room) has invited Vanness Wu's producer to help him produce a new type of dance tune.
Judy: "Although the EP only consist of 4 songs, but each songs was well selected by the company. My first hit 《寂寞包廂》(Lonely Room) was produce by Vanness Wu's producer and the song is different from his style creating a new type of dance tune. This song got a bit of decadence and depression which contradict with my sunshine image. In this EP, I also insist singing soft balled songs and hope that everyone can listen to my slow songs and see whether I have improve."
《寂寞包廂》(Lonely Room) let Judy learn a new type of singing method and is different from his good boy image. This gives us a different type of feel.

■ 《So What》reveal self-attitude
In 《One Million Star》Judy is known for his dancing ability and even his fans name him as Taiwan "Zhou Ding RAIN". Actually, soft balled songs is not a problem for Judy too. The song 《So What》which is also the EP's name is the continuation of 《我不會唱歌》(I dunno how to sing). 《So What》is a mixture of rock and hip-hop. This song Judy sang out the disagreement on criticism by netizen on the Internet and he sang out his self confident towards himself which were; he will chase his own dream, ignore all criticisms and rumors, and will present the most confident side of him. The third song which is a soft balled song 《遠在身邊》(Far beside you) and it is dedicated to all his fans which supports him all the while. The most special song in this EP was that Judy quartet the "King of Pop" Micheal Jackson's most famost classic lyric《You're Not Alone》.
